Carson City Office
Located in the heart of Carson City, Kaempfer Crowell's office is a convenient five-minute walk to the state’s Capital and Legislative corridor, where the Firm’s attorneys and staff members are routinely seen working year-round with lawmakers, governmental officials and business and community leaders on important issues that affect Nevada. The Carson City office also serves as a communications and information hub for Kaempfer Crowell's attorneys statewide and their clients during legislative sessions. In 2009 alone, Kaempfer Crowell successfully represented the interests of more than 50 businesses and organizations on important and complex issues ranging from land use and property rights to transportation, utilities, gaming, taxes, water and telecommunications.
The Carson City office was established nearly half a century ago when William J. Crowell moved from his hometown of Tonopah, Nevada to begin practicing law in the state’s capital. He built a successful full-service legal practice and later became president of the State Bar of Nevada in 1957. Forty years later, his son, Robert Crowell, was also elected president of the State Bar, making history as the first father/son succession in the history of the Bar. In June of 2006, the Crowell Law Firm combined forces with Kaempfer Crowell.
The Kaempfer Crowell legal team based in Carson City continues a history of strong community commitment. Kaempfer Crowell attorneys have served and continue to serve in various leadership positions including Mayor of Carson City, past Chairman of the Colorado River Commission; former President of the State Bar of Nevada; past President of the Carson City Chamber of Commerce; past President of the Rotary, and past President of the Carson City School Board. The firm also offers the expertise of retired District Court Judge Michael Griffin, one of the longest serving jurists in Carson City.
Kaempfer Crowell's attorneys and staff are also involved in a number of civic and non-profit organizations including the Boys and Girls Club; the Guiding Coalition (addresses homeless issues); Children’s Cabinet; Backpack Attack (school supplies for needy children), and a host of other organizations. The firm is a significant sponsor of many community events throughout the year.
